Slightly Unusual perform at over 50 weddings a year. No two weddings are the same and different couples use magic in different ways. Some clients book close up magic whilst others book our stage show.

Here are some examples of how both close up magic and stage magic can be used.

Stage Magic

Something that has become increasingly popular during the evening reception is to stage an illusion show before the wedding band or DJ starts.

Slightly Unusual can perform one of their full illusion shows and then compere on the next act. A show can run from 20 minutes to 45 minutes or more and ensures that absolutely no one misses out on seeing the magic. Slightly Unusual can even open the show by magically producing the Bride or Groom on stage.

Imagine the look on your guest’s faces as you appear from nowhere to start the evening. Clients regularly send us feedback explaining the show they booked was the highlight of their evening and something they will never forget.

Close Up Magic
  1. During the photographs, it is usual that most people are not directly involved in having their picture taken and so they are often left standing around; this is an ideal time to entertain with close up magic.
  2. Before the meal, there is often a period where people are getting drinks and standing or sitting around in small groups, again this is the ideal time for mix and mingle magic as it makes the perfect ice breaker.
  3. Magic is also a perfect addition to the wedding breakfast working between courses. It helps to bring people together who may have only met for the first time when they sat down at the table a few moments before.
  4. Close Up Magic works perfectly at the start of the evening reception. Just as the evening guests arrive is the perfect time as guests may be standing around awkwardly and looking to be brought into a group.

Slightly UnusualImagine starting your Wedding reception with one of their Mega Illusion Shows except the opening illusion is a magical production of the Bride and Groom who then sit down to enjoy the rest of the show.
